Flemister was a 3-star prospect in the class of 2018. He was the No. 68 running back in the country for that cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Flemister had just three carries last season. In his Notre Dame career, he 471 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. The vast majority of that production came in 2019 and 2020. He scored five touchdowns each in those two seasons.
It’s unclear whether or not Flemister will enter enter the transfer portal and move on to another program.
Notre Dame still has plenty of depth at running back, even with Flemister’s departure and Kyren Williams heading to the NFL. Chris Tyree and Logan Diggs are expected to lead a talented running room in 2022.
Notre Dame’s spring game is on April 23.
