Notre Dame has arrived.

The Fighting Irish got to Omaha on Wednesday afternoon, just a couple of days before participating in their first College World Series since 2002.

Here’s a clip of their arrival:

This is Notre Dame’s third trip to the College World Series in program history. Prior to 2002, its only appearance in Omaha was in 1957.

The Fighting Irish certainly earned their place amongst the final 8 teams in college baseball. They had to beat two nationally-seeded teams to get here. First, they won the Statesboro Regional. Then, they upset No. 1 Tennessee in the Knoxville Super Regional — dethroning the odds on favorite to win the National Championship.

Now, Notre Dame will face No. 9 Texas in the first round of the College World Series. It’s a double elimination format, but the road back from the loser’s bracket is a long one.

If Notre Dame beats the Longhorns, it will face the winner of Texas A&M-Oklahoma on Sunday.
