Notre Dame basketball converted a huge 66-62 upset win over No. 10 Kentucky on Saturday night.

The Fighting Irish got their fourth win of the season thanks to a solid performance across the board. Six of Notre Dame’s seven players score 7+ points, with no player contributing more than 14 points.

Here are the closing moments of the game:

Dane Goodwin and Blake Wesley led the way with 14 points apiece. Goodwin also led the team with 6 rebounds on the night.

The big difference in this game was on the 3-point line. Notre Dame made 7-of-22 attempts while the Wildcats converted just 2-of-19 from long range. Notre Dame also won the rebounding battle, 33-28.

Notre Dame is now up to No. 51 nationally in KenPom’s live rankings. Mike Brey’s team is improving, but still outside the top 100 in adjusted defense according to KenPom. However, results like this should improve that metric going forward.

Notre Dame’s schedule isn’t getting any easier. The Fighting Irish are scheduled to play Indiana on Saturday.
