Notre Dame scored a major recruiting win over Clemson on Friday afternoon.

4-star offensive line prospect Sullivan Absher picked the Fighting Irish. The North Carolina native had the option of staying closer to home with the Tigers, but ultimately decided to move to South Bend.

Here’s his announcement:

Absher is a 4-star OL prospect and the No. 22 offensive tackle in the country for 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 10 player from the state of North Carolina.

In addition to Clemson, Absher also had offers from programs like Penn State, Tennessee and NC State, amongst others.

This commitment continues Notre Dame’s hot streak on the recruiting trail. The Fighting Irish have already secured 13 commitments in the class of 2023. Five of those commitments have come since the beginning of April.

Overall, Notre Dame is working to add to the best recruiting class in the country. The group ranks No. 1 nationally according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Prospects in the class of 2023 will be able to officially sign with their programs during the Early Signing Period in December.
