Notre Dame defeated Virginia 69-65 on Saturday afternoon, which sets up a huge matchup with Duke on Monday night.

The win gives the Irish their 10th victory in 11 games and moves them to 7-2 in ACC play. They trail ACC-leading Miami by just a half game entering the mid-week slate.

Notre Dame will enter Monday night’s matchup vs. Duke with a 9-0 record at home this season.

Dane Goodwin continued his strong play with 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting vs. Virginia on Saturday night. He made 4-of-6 3-pointers vs. the Cavaliers, living up to his reputation as one of the nation’s best shooters.

As a team, Notre Dame shot 43 percent from beyond the arc. That proved to be the difference, as Virginia shot just 21 percent from long range.

Notre Dame is currently on the NCAA Tournament bubble. Picking up a nonconference win over Kentucky is proving to be a big boost, but the Irish will need to continue playing well vs. ACC opposition.

Tipoff vs. Duke on Monday night is at 7:00 p.m. ET.
