Notre Dame commit Dylan Edwards received a scholarship offer from Colorado on Tuesday morning.
Edwards has been committed to Notre Dame for several months, but an offer from Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes could be enticing. Sanders has been aggressive in trying to land recruits and transfers for Colorado.
If Colorado can flip Edwards’ commitment from Notre Dame, it would be a significant blow to the Fighting Irish’s 2023 recruiting class.
At the time of his commitment, Edwards chose Notre Dame over Kansas State, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Edwards, who is from Derby, Kansas, is the No. 10 running back in the nation and the No. 2 recruit in K
ansas, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Notre Dame ranked has the No. 3 overall recruiting class in 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Notre Dame currently sits behind No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia. If Edwards flips from Notre Dame, that could impact Notre Dame’s overall ranking. Edwards could have an important decision to make before his commitment is finalized.
