Notre Dame 4-star commit Boubacar Traore took an official visit to Boston College over the weekend, according to a report.

That’s according to Boston College insider Andy Backstrom, who notes that Traore is a former BC commit.

Traore has been committed to Notre Dame since April 27. However, prior to that announcement, he had been pledged to Boston College since August of 2020.

While Boston College typically wouldn’t be a major threat to Notre Dame, this might be a unique situation. Traore’s long history with BC coach Jeff Hafley and his staff could give the Eagles a chance to flip Traore back to their side.

Traore is also a Massachusetts native. He attends Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.

If he does flip back to Boston College, it would be a loss for the Irish. He’s the No. 18 defensive line prospect in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
