Notre Dame DL Isaiah Foskey after 1 week of fall camp: ‘I feel like this team is unstoppable’

Notre Dame star Isaiah Foskey is feeling good about the Fighting Irish’s chances to have success in 2022.

Foskey, who could have left after last season for the NFL, told reporters on Friday he believes this team is “unstoppable.”

If that proves to be the case, Foskey will be a big reason why. Last season, he recorded 10 sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss and 6 forced fumbles.

Foskey leads a defense that includes Jayson Ademilola, Brandon Joseph and several other top playmakers.

Notre Dame is expected to be one of the best teams in the country again this season, pending its ability to replace quarterback Jack Coan. Tyler Buchner and Drew Pyne are currently battling for the starting job in fall camp.

Foskey’s theory will be put the to the test early on this season. Notre Dame opens the 2022 campaign with Ohio State on the road in Week 1. The Fighting Irish also have tough games vs. North Carolina, Clemson and USC on their schedule.

CBS Sports is predicting Notre Dame will end up in the Orange Bowl, according to their preseason bowl projections

. Notre Dame hasn’t played in the Orange Bowl since 1996.

Notre Dame and Ohio State kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 3.
