Notre Dame picked up its second 2023 commitment in as many days on Friday afternoon.

The Fighting Irish earned a pledge from 4-star cornerback Micah Bell, who is one of the highest-rated cornerbacks in the country.

Here’s his announcement:

Bell ranks as the No. 13 cornerback in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 120 player nationally and the No. 20 player in the state of Texas.

His commitment is enough for Notre Dame to re-take the No. 1 spot in the national rankings, per 247Sports Composite rankings. The Irish had temporarily fallen to No. 3 in the country behind Ohio State and Texas.

Notre Dame now has 17 commitments in the class of 2023 — Marcus Freeman’s first full cycle as Notre Dame’s head coach. 15 of those commitments are 4-or-5-star prospects.

The Fighting Irish likely aren’t done this weekend, either. Notre Dame is projected to land at least two more 4-star prospects in the class of 2023 this weekend.
