Hobbs decommitted from South Carolina late Tuesday night. He had been committed to the Gamecocks since July.
This is a major addition to Notre Dame’s class. He’s currently the No. 521 overall player and the No. 50 prospect in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. Hobbs attends Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati, Ohio. He’s the first defensive back prospect to commit to Notre Dame in this cycle.
Hobbs joins a 2024 Notre Dame class that is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. The Irish already have seven commitments in that cycle and the group ranks No. 1 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
