Notre Dame is a slight betting favorite over Rutgers in play-in game
Notre Dame is a 1-point favorite over Rutgers in its play-in round game on Wednesday night, according to DraftKings. The total has been set at 133.5.
The winner of this game will meet Alabama in the round of 64 on Friday. Notre Dame is looking for its first NCAA Tournament win since the 2016-17 season.
The Fighting Irish are led by guards Blake Wesley and Dane Goodwin. Wesley has become an NBA Draft prospect after averaging 14.6 points per game as a freshman. Goodwin proved himself as one of the best shooters in the country this year, making 44.8% of his 3-point attempts this year.
Both Wesley and Goodwin were honored as all-district players this week.

Notre Dame enters this game having lost three of its last six contests. The Fighting Irish were upset by eventual ACC champion Virginia Tech in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament last week.
KenPom is projecting a 67-65 win for the Fighting Irish. Rutgers is playing in its second consecutive NCAA Tournament, which ties a school record (1975-76).
