Notre Dame continued its recent hot streak on the recruiting trail on Monday afternoon.

But this time, the Fighting Irish picked up a commitment in the class of 2024.

Here’s the announcement from 4-star pass rusher Owen Wafle:

Wafle is the second player to join Notre Dame’s 2024 recruiting the class. The Fighting Irish have also received a pledge from 4-star defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain. The class ranks No. 5 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

This is a huge pickup for Notre Dame, as Wafle is one of the top pass rushers in the country for his class. He’s the No. 14 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

He chose Notre Dame over offers from programs like Iowa, Michigan State and West Virginia, amongst others. He also likely would have continued to earn offers throughout his junior season if he had stayed uncommitted.

Notre Dame has been rolling on the recruiting trail in recent weeks. The Fighting Irish currently have the No. 1 overall class in 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
