Notre Dame added a major piece to its 2023 recruiting class on Tuesday evening.

The Fighting Irish picked up a commitment from 4-star receiver Braylon James. He chose the Fighting Irish over other finalists Stanford and TCU.

James is one of the best receivers in the country. He’s currently ranked as the No. 72 player and the No. 11 WR in the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He also holds offers from programs like Arkansas, Florida, Georgia and LSU, to name a few.

James is listed at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds. He attends Stony Point High School in Round Rock, Texas. He becomes the second player from the Lone Star State to join Notre Dame’s 2023 recruiting class.

The Fighting Irish currently have the nation’s No. 1-ranked class in this cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. The class includes 9 commitments, led by 5-star EDGE Keon Keeley.

Notre Dame is still pursuing 5-star quarterback Dante Moore, who is expected to make a final decision in the coming weeks.
