Notre Dame lands on final list for elite LB, top 50 prospect out of California

Notre Dame is still in the mix for one of the best linebackers in the country for the 2025 recruiting class.

On Friday, 4-star linebacker Madden Faraimo revealed his list of final schools, a top-4 group that includes the Fighting Irish. Ohio State, USC and Oregon rounded out Faraimo’s list dominated by programs from the new-look Big Ten.

It will be an interesting recruiting battle for Marcus Freeman and his staff to land Faraimo:

Faraimo is listed at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds out of J. Serra Catholic in San Juan Capistrano, California. His sister, Megan Faraimo, was a star softball recruit in 2018 and became a 4-time All-American pitcher at UCLA.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Faraimo is a 4-star prospect and the No. 4 LB in the country for the 2025 recruiting class. He’s also rated as the 38th available recruit in the country regardless of position.

Notre Dame is already off to an elite start, building the No. 1 ranked recruiting class per the 247 Sports Team Composite with 17 hard commitments. The Irish currently hold a pair of top-100 players for the cycle, but Faraimo is rated higher than any player currently committed.
