Notre Dame is one of five finalists for 4-star receiver prospect Rico Flores.

Flores announced his top five on Tuesday evening. In addition to the Fighting Irish, he’s also considering Ohio State, UCLA, Georgia and Texas.

Flores is the No. 23 receiver prospect in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s ranked No. 156 nationally.

He attends Folsom High School in Folsom, California. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds.

Flores would be a major addition to Notre Dame’s 2023 recruiting class. The Fighting Irish currently have the nation’s No. 1-ranked class for that cycle, but only two of their nine commitments so far are on the offensive side of the ball.

Notre Dame has been ramping up its recruiting efforts on offense in recent weeks. The Fighting Irish are expected to host 4-star quarterback prospect Christopher Vizzina in March. It’s possible Flores will also take a visit to South Bend in the coming months.

There is no timetable for Flores’ decision.
