Jaylen McClain has already picked up 31 scholarship offers in his recruitment. The blue-chip defensive back says 10 teams are separating themselves from the rest of the pack, and Notre Dame is part of that group.
McClain shared his top 10 teams Saturday on Twitter. Notre Dame is joined by Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Penn State, Rutgers, Stanford, Tennessee and USC.
From West Orange, New Jersey, McClain is listed at 6-feet, 185 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, McClain is rated 4-stars, the No. 4 New Jersey product, No. 21 safety and No. 242 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class.
Marcus Freeman’s staff extended a scholarship offer to McClain back in December. Since then, McClain has also tweeted interest from Georgia Tech, Iowa State, USC, Minnesota and Cincinnati.
