Notre Dame offers highly-touted RB in class of 2024
Notre Dame made a major offer in the class of 2024 earlier this week.
The Fighting Irish sent out an offer to 2024 running back Corey Smith. He indicated that he intends to take a visit to South Bend at some point in his recruitment.
Here’s his announcement:
Beyond blessed to have been offered by such a prestigious school like the University of Notre Dame. Growing up watching college football I have always respected the tradition of the Irish. Cannot wait to get down to South Bend to visit your historic campus! @NDFootball pic.twitter.com/RVRDvEUrKu

It’s exceptionally early for the 2024 cycle, so Smith does not yet have a 247Sports Composite rating. He’s originally from Wisconsin and is listed at 6-foot, 175 pounds.
While Smith isn’t quite on the radar of major recruiting services yet, his offer list is already impressive. In addition to Notre Dame, Smith has received an offer from programs like Nebraska, Purdue, Wisconsin and Iowa State, amongst others.
Former Notre Dame running back Kyren Williams is expected to be picked in this upcoming NFL Draft. His transition to the next level — following two standout seasons in South Bend — should help with running back recruiting.
Notre Dame does not currently have any commitments in the class of 2024.
There is not timetable for Smith’s commitment.
