Notre Dame made an intriguing offer to a talented wide receiver on Tuesday afternoon.
The Irish extended a scholarship offer to 3-star receiver Taeshaun Lyons. Here’s his announcement:
Lyons is the No. 51 receiver in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings
. He’s from Hayward, California, and has mostly received offers from west coast schools prior to Notre Dame showing interest.
He has received offers from Oregon, Utah and Washington since the spring. Lyons recently took an official visit to Washington as well.

Notre Dame is up to 23 commitments in the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 1 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
The Fighting Irish currently have commitments from a trio of 4-star prospects at wide receiver: Jaden Greathouse, Braylon James and Rico Flores.
