Notre Dame may have lost of the Buckeyes on Saturday, but the immediate future looks much brighter for the Fighting Irish.

 

According to Circa Sports, Notre Dame is an 18-point favorite over Marshall in Week 2.

In the 21-10 loss to Ohio State, eight of Notre Dame’s 10 offensive possessions ended with punts and a ninth in a red zone stop.

After the game, Marcus Freeman defended his run-heavy strategy in the opener vs. Ohio State. Chris Tyree led the team in rushing yards with only 28, while the Irish as a whole ran 30 times for only 76 yards and one touchdown.

Notre Dame will look ahead to hosting the Marshall Thundering Herd for week 2, while the Thundering Herd look for a second win after taking down Norfolk State 55-3 in Week 1.

Notre Dame is 1-0 against the spread this season.
