Notre Dame pass rusher earns NFL Scouting Combine invite

Notre Dame defensive lineman Isaiah Foskey has been officially invited to the NFL Scouting combine.

The Fighting Irish announced that news on Friday afternoon:

Foskey is expected to receive 1

st round consideration in the 2023 NFL Draft, but could end up being a Day 2 selection.

He’s coming off of an excellent season in South Bend. In 2022, Foskey racked up a career-high 13.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks. He was also credited with 44 total tackles and 1 forced fumble. Foskey also set Notre Dame’s all-time record for sacks in a career this season.

Notre Dame is expected to have several draft picks enter the NFL later this spring. Tight end Michael Mayer is also a candidate to go in the 1st round. Safety Brandon Joseph could also receive a combine invite.

The NFL will continue releasing invites for the Scouting Combine over the next couple weeks. The 2023 combine runs from Feb. 28-March 6.

The 2023 NFL Draft is April 27-29.
