Notre Dame quarterback commit CJ Carr continues to move up the rankings.

Carr is now the No. 3 quarterback and No. 14 overall player in the class of 2024, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He was previously the No. 18 overall player in that class. Carr debuted at No. 49 in the composite rankings back in March.

He ranks behind only Ohio State commit Dylan Railoa and uncommitted 5-star QB Julian Sayin.

Carr committed to Notre Dame back in June. He chose the Fighting Irish over offers from programs like Michigan, Alabama, LSU, Georgia and Miami, amongst others.

The 5-star prospect is also the No. 1 player from the state of Michigan. He’s the grandson of longtime Wolverines coach Lloyd Carr.

He’s the top-ranked player in Notre Dame’s 2024 recruiting class, which is No. 1 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Notre Dame already has 6 commitments in that cycle. Receiver Cam Williams also moved into the top-100 for the first time, landing at No. 87.

All 6 commits are at least 4-star prospects and are ranked in the top-300 of the 247Sports Composite rankings.
