Notre Dame receives commitment from elite linebacker out of Virginia

Bodie Kahoun, a 6-foot-2 and 214-pound linebacker out of Roanoke, Virginia (Patrick Henry), has announced a commitment to play at Notre Dame.

Kahoun is the No. 36 linebacker in the country in the Class of 2024 and the No. 7 player in the state of Virginia, according to the 247Sports Composite. Kahoun is the 16th commitment of the 2024 Notre Dame recruiting class. He had a reported 18 offers and was recruited to the Fighting Irish by Al Golden.

Kahoun was previously committed to play lacrosse at Ohio State, but this announcement means a flip to the Irish, and with his sport of choice, as Virginia Tech and Tennessee were also in the mix to flip him to play football in college.

Notre Dame has the No. 3 recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports.
