Two Notre Dame stars will forego their remaining eligibility and opt out of the Fiesta Bowl, they announced on Friday morning.

All-American safety Kyle Hamilton and star running back Kyren Williams made those announcements on Friday morning. Hamilton is projected to be a top 10 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and Williams figures to be one of the most versatile running backs in the draft.

Here are their announcements:

Hamilton entered the year with high expectations, and he delivered despite only playing in seven games. He hasn’t played since October due to an injury.

He finishes his Notre Dame career with 8 interceptions, 16 pass deflections and 7.5 tackles for loss. Hamilton has been one of the most-feared safeties in recent memory during his time with the Fighting Irish.

Williams’ decision is a bit more surprising, although it makes sense. He just delivered back-to-back seasons with 1,300+ yards from scrimmage and 10+ touchdowns. It’s unclear where he draft stock is, but he could be one of the first running backs off the board.
