Notre Dame stays in top 10 of Joel Klatt’s power rankings

College football analyst Joel Klatt kept Notre Dame in his top 10 after the Irish’s 21-10 loss to Ohio State in Week 1.

Klatt has Notre Dame at No. 9 entering Week 2. Notre Dame is the only team in Klatt’s top 10 that did not earn a win on opening weekend.

“I didn’t knock Notre Dame too far down,” Klatt said. “I thought they showed me a lot in that game against Ohio State.”

Klatt’s top 4 includes Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Clemson. Notre Dame still has a meeting with the Tigers coming up later this year.

Michigan, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, USC and Baylor round out Klatt’s top 10.

Here’s Klatt’s full analysis on his power rankings entering Week 2:

Notre Dame’s offense will be looking to be much-improved this week. The Fighting Irish are hosting Marshall on Saturday and could look to get the passing game more involved against the Thunder Herd.

Notre Dame and Marshall kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday on NBC.
