Notre Dame target and 4-star cornerback Kevyn Humes announced on Monday that he plans to re-classify into the class of 2024.

Humes was previously a member of the 2025 recruiting class. Instead, he will re-classify and is expected to begin his college football career next season.

Here’s his announcement:

Humes is one of the top cornerback prospects in the country, regardless of class. He was the No. 262 overall player and the No. 29 cornerback in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Humes is a significant target for the Fighting Irish. Back in November, he released his top 5 programs. He said he was still considering Notre Dame, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon and Penn State.

Humes attends St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. He’s listed at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds.

Notre Dame signed 23 players from the high school ranks during the Early Signing Period. The Irish’s class ranks No. 10 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
