The Fighting Irish led for most of the second half, ultimately winning 78-64. Ryan hit 7-of-9 3-point attempts and was a constant threat on the perimeter.

Blake Wesley also scored 18 points. Paul Atkinson Jr. added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the win.
This is Notre Dame’s second win of the NCAA Tournament after it beat Rutgers in the First Four on Wednesday night. The Fighting Irish were able to battle through significant travel — Dayton, Ohio to San Diego, Calif. — en route to the win.
Notre Dame hadn’t won multiple games in the NCAA Tournament since it made the Elite Eight in 2016.
Notre Dame will face No. 3-seeded Texas Tech in the Round of 32 on Saturday. The winner will advance to play in the Sweet 16 next week. Tipoff time is to be announced.
