Former Notre Dame receiver Kevin Austin Jr. ran one of the fastest times of the day at the NFL scouting combine on Thursday.

His 40-yard dash clocked in at 4.37 seconds, which was faster than even Austin expected to run.

Here’s a clip of Austin’s dash:

Austin also finished fifth in the broad jump and tied for third in the vertical jump, per the NFL’s data.

By all accounts, Austin had a great first day in Indianapolis. He’s proven to be one of the most athletic receivers in this class, which should have a significant impact on his draft stock.

Austin was Notre Dame’s top receiving threat last season. He caught 48 passes for 888 yards and 7 touchdowns. It was his first season as a primary option in the Fighting Irish’s offense, and he certainly delivered.

Austin’s pre-draft process will continue in Indianapolis this week with team meetings, workouts and other activities.

The NFL Draft is April 28-30.
