Notre Dame needed a big play, and it got one.

After UNC quarterback Sam Howell pinned the Fighting Irish deep with a pooch punt early in the fourth quarter on Saturday, it didn’t take long for Notre Dame to put points on the board.

One snap, a vicious stiff arm and a few timely down-field blocks was all Kyren Williams needed.

Williams ended up making a house call to put Notre Dame up 38-28 in the final stanza. Here’s the play:

Notre Dame scored again shortly thereafter thanks to good field position from a Howell interception.

That sequence could seal the win for Notre Dame, who is trying to move to 7-1 on the season and stay in the College Football Playoff hunt. Its only loss so far this year came vs. No. 2 Cincinnati.

According to InsideCarolina, Williams’ run is the longest for a UNC opponent in program history.

Notre Dame hosts Navy next week at 3:30 p.m. ET.
