Notre Dame’s season came to an end on Sunday night in a loss to Texas Tech.

The Fighting Irish held the lead late, but weren’t able to stand up to the pressure of Texas Tech’s aggressive defense in the final minutes. The Red Raiders ended the game on a 10-1 run.

The loss ends hopes of a Sweet 16 bid for the Fighting Irish after picking up wins vs. Rutgers and Alabama earlier this week.

Dane Goodwin was Notre Dame’s best offensive option on Sunday night. He scored 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting and made 3-of-5 from long range.

Freshman Blake Wesley was the only other Notre Dame player to score in double figures, finishing with 11 points. He also had 8 rebounds and 3 assists.

However, Wesley struggled down the stretch as Texas Tech’s defense tightened up. His decision — whether to return to school or enter the NBA Draft — will be one of the defining moments of Notre Dame’s offseason.
