Pat McAfee is a big believer in Audric Estime and the Notre Dame rushing attack.

On College GameDay on Saturday morning, McAfee referred to Estime as the “best running back in the country,” citing his game-winning touchdown run vs. Duke last week.

“We saw at the end of last week’s game between Duke and Notre Dame, I think the best running back in the country in Audric Estime,” McAfee said. “The week against Ohio State, he only got the ball like 14 times. He was still averaging over 5 yards a clip. But it feels like once they start feeding him, that whole pro style offense gets going.”

McAfee also said he believes in Notre Dame’s ability to wear down Louisville’s defensive front with its run game.

“I think Notre Dame is going to wear them out,” McAfee added. “I really like the style of football that ND plays.”

Estime has already rushed for 672 yards and 7 touchdowns this season. He’s also averaging 7.1 yards per play on the year.

Louisville’s rushing defense has been solid so far in 2023. The Cardinals have allowed just 3.45 yards per carry, which ranks No. 44 nationally. Estime will have to have to play well if he’s going to have a big impact against Louisville.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
