4-star quarterback prospect Christopher Vizzina is expected to visit Notre Dame in March, according to a report.

That’s per IrishBreakdown’s Ryan Roberts, who spoke with Vizzina’s high school coach this week.

Briarwood Christian head coach Matthew Forester told Roberts that Vizzina will visit South Bend, “early in March.” He also said Vizzina has upcoming visits to Clemson and Georgia.

Forester also told Roberts that Notre Dame offensive coordinator Tommy Rees has been Vizzina’s primary recruiter.

Vizzina is the No. 7 quarterback in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 7 player in the state of Alabama.

He’s drawn interest from a wide range of programs, including SEC powerhouses like Georgia, Auburn and Florida.

Notre Dame is already off to a great start with its 2023 recruiting class. The Fighting Irish have the nation’s No. 1 class so far, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

The class includes nine commitments already, but just two of them are on the offensive side of the ball. The class has been heavily influenced by new head coach Marcus Freeman.

There’s currently no timetable for Vizzina’s commitment.
