Hartman had a nice bounce-back game from a ball security perspective. He didn’t turn it over as Notre Dame finished +5 in turnover margin against the Trojans. Hartman also threw for 2 touchdowns in the win.
Hartman now has 128 touchdown passes in his career, which puts him three back of Baker Mayfield and Rakeem Cato for fourth place on college football’s all-time TD passes leaderboard.
Notre Dame is now 6-2 on the season. This win ends a stretch for the Irish were they played four consecutive undefeated, ranked opponents. Notre Dame went 2-2 in those contests.
Notre Dame is now 49-37-5 all-time against rival USC. The Fighting Irish have won five of the last six meetings in this series.
Notre Dame will be idle in Week 8 before hosting Pitt in Week 9.
