Notre Dame is reportedly expected to host Jerome Bettis Jr. on a recruiting visit this weekend.

Bettis is the son of Notre Dame legend and NFL Hall-of-Fame running back Jerome Bettis. His father played for the Fighting Irish from 1990-92 before going on to a legendary NFL career.

According to IrishBreakdown’s Ryan Roberts, the younger Bettis will be in South Bend this weekend to watch Notre Dame take on the Tigers.

“Notre Dame has always felt like a home to me,” Bettis told IrishBreakdown this week. “Since the first time I stepped foot on campus everyone welcomed me with open arms and as one of their own. I feel comfortable there and am excited to go this weekend.”

Bettis is a 2025 prospect, so there’s still a long way to go in his recruitment. He does not currently have a rating from any of the major recruiting services. He is listed as a wide receiver.

Still, Bettis could develop into one Notre Dame’s top targets in this cycle. He’s already visited Georgia Tech this fall:

Bettis attends Westminster School in Atlanta. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds.
