Tommy Rees is reportedly leaving his job as Notre Dame’s offensive coordinator for the same position at Alabama.
Fighting Irish football players have been formed that Rees has accepted Nick Saban’s offer, according to Mike Berardino of the South Bend Tribune.
Rees, who played quarterback at Notre Dame from 2010-to-2013, has been on the Irish’s coaching staff since 2017 and UND’s offensive coordinator since the 2020 season. Rees, 30, has one other season of college coaching experience as a grad assistant at Northwestern in 2015.

urned down one opportunity to coach in the SEC, declining to follow Brian Kelly to LSU for the 2022 season. At Alabama, he will be replacing Bill O’Brien, who has returned to the New England Patriots.
