Vegas releases opening betting line for Notre Dame-North Carolina game

Notre Dame and North Carolina will meet in Chapel Hill this week for a pivotal Week 4 matchup.

Vegas has set the opening line for this game as a pick ’em, according to odds released from Circa Sports. The total has been set at 55.5.

Here’s a look at the Week 4 slate:

Notre Dame is 1-2 on the season and just picked up its first win of the year over Cal. The Fighting Irish have struggled offensively all season, but their defense is amongst the best in the country.

North Carolina is 3-0 and already has a pair of road wins on its résumé. However, the Tar Heels h

ave not faced a Power 5 team yet this season. North Carolina was off in Week 3 so the Tar Heels will have had an extra week to prepare for this game.

UNC’s offense vs. Notre Dame’s defense will be a fascinating matchup. The Tar Heels are led by redshirt freshman quarterback Drake Maye, who leads the ACC in passing yards and passing touchdowns after 3 games.

Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
