Notre Dame has regressed this season after going 11-2 in Brian Kelly’s final campaign at the helm. Notre Dame is 3-3 in 2022 after falling 16-14 at home against rival Stanford.

That would appear to put Notre Dame’s bowl chances in jeopardy.

However, ESPN’s FPI is still giving Notre Dame an extremely high probability of playing beyond the regular season. Notre Dame is projected to have 91.9 odds to reach the requisite six wins for bowl eligibility.

Next up for Notre Dame is a home matchup vs. UNLV on Oct. 22 (2:30 p.m. ET/Peacock).

After that, to close out the season, Notre Dame has games at Syracuse and USC, and home games vs. Clemson, Navy, and Boston College. The three most realistic victories in that bunch would be UNLV, Navy, and Boston College. However, college football can always produce some wild upsets, so it’s not impossible for Notre Dame to stun Syracuse, Clemson, or especially USC in a rivalry game.

Notre Dame has qualified for a bowl game every year since 2017, with only two under .500 finishes since 2004.
