Damar Hamlin, former Pitt player, collapses on field and receives CPR during Monday Night Football

Damar Hamiln collapsed in the first quarter of the Buffalo Bills’ game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football.

Hamlin, who is in his second season with the Bills after a career with Pittsburgh, collided with a Bengals player while making a tackle. He then briefly stood up before collapsing to the ground.

According to multiple reports from Cincinnati, medical personnel administered CPR to Hamlin before taking him away in an ambulance.

Shortly after the ambulance left the field, both teams left the field and the game was “temporarily suspended.”

According to Fox4’s Joe Danneman, Hamlin has a pulse but was “not breathing on his own.”

Hamlin played at Pitt for 5 seasons before heading to the NFL. He recorded 275 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 6 interceptions during his tenure with the Panthers.

He was drafted in the 6th round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Bills. He made 13 starts with Buffalo this season.
