ESPN's FPI projects every remaining game on Pittsburgh's schedule
Pittsburgh has been one of the most consistent teams in the country since suffering a stunning loss to Western Michigan back in September.
The Panthers have now won four straight games, including an impressive 27-17 victory over Clemson last weekend.
Pitt now finds itself in the driver’s seat for the Coastal division title and quarterback Kenny Pickett is one of the Heisman Trophy frontrunners.
According to ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI), that dominance is expected to continue.
FPI projects the Panthers as heavy favorites in each of its remaining five games:
- Vs. Miami: 80.2 percent
- At Duke: 93.3 percent
- Vs. North Carolina: 79.3 percent
- Vs. Virginia: 79.6 percent
- At Syracuse: 83.2 percent
FPI also gives Pittsburgh a 61 percent chance to win the ACC following its win over Clemson in Week 8. The Panthers are likely to meet Wake Forest or North Carolina State in the ACC Championship Game in December.
Pitt will face Miami at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
