Former Pitt receiver Jordan Addison is heading to USC.

As many speculated from the moment he entered the portal, Addison officially committed to the Trojans on Thursday afternoon.

Here’s his announcement:

This comes at the end of speculation that he entered the transfer portal for a significant NIL package.

The speculation was strong enough that Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi reportedly confronted USC head coach Lincoln Riley after news  of Addison’s intentions broke.

Addison is a tremendous loss for Pitt. He won the Biletnikoff Award last season after catching 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns.

However, the Panthers still have some star power at receiver. They return Jared Wayne, who had a very promising season in 2020. They also picked up Akron receiver Konata Mumpfield via the transfer portal. If new quarterback Kedon Slovis has a good season, the Panthers’ passing attack should still be very formidable in 2022.

Pitt opens the season vs. WVU on Sept. 1.
