Francis Brewu, 2024 DL from Ohio, commits to Pitt

Francis Brewu is leaving Big Ten territory to play in the ACC. The defensive lineman out of Columbus, Ohio has committed to play for Pittsburgh.

Brewu announced his pledge to Pat Narduzzi’s Panthers on Thursday. He shared the news on his Twitter account.

“First I would like to thank God, my family, coaches, and everyone who has helped me with this process,” Brewu wrote in a tweeted note. “I am absolutely blessed and extremely excited to be able to announce that I am 100% committed to play Division I football and attend THE University of Pittsburgh!!!”

Out of Thomas Worthington High School, Brewu is listed at 6-2, 270 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Brewu is rated 3-stars, the No. 35 Ohio product, No. 75 defensive lineman and No. 790 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class. Brewu has scholarship offers from 17 schools so far in his recruitment.
