Pitt receiver Jordan Addison has been spending some time with Alabama quarterback Bryce Young this week, according to a report.

That’s per The Athletic’s Max Olson, who reports that Addison has been “training” with Young in California. Addison officially entered the transfer portal over the weekend.

Early speculation has indicated that USC is the favorite to land Addison in the portal. He and Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams are both from the Washington DC area. Additionally, Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi reportedly called Lincoln Riley twice last week as the Panthers’ administration suspects possible tampering.

Texas is also a potential landing spot. Former Pitt receivers coach Brennan Marion was hired by the Longhorns this offseason.

However, Alabama getting into the mix would be a game-changer. The Crimson Tide have already landed one of the ACC’s most dynamic weapons this offseason in Georgia Tech running back Jahmyr Gibbs.

Addison won the Biletnikoff Award last season after totaling 100 receptions, over 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns. Pitt replaced quarterback Kenny Pickett with USC’s Kedon Slovis in the transfer portal.

Wherever Addison ends up — and returning to Pitt is reportedly still an option — the next few weeks will be fascinating.
