Kenny Pickett is entering his second NFL season and is looking to grow as the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to reports, he was involved in a wild turn of events Friday, but it looks like everything will turn out alright moving forward.

According to Marcie Cipriani with WTAE4 ABC, Pickett had a car stolen Friday while participating at a local event. That vehicle was a 2023 Genesis SUV that was eventually located by police in Murrysville. A 60-year-old resident of Murrysville is the suspect charged with the theft among other charges.

While that part of the story is interesting enough, another interesting piece was added upon the recovery of the stolen vehicle. According to Cipriani, the Steelers confirmed Pickett’s copy of the team’s playbook was in the vehicle at the time of the theft. Fortunately, the playbook was returned with the vehicle.

As a rookie, Pickett started 12 games for the Steelers with the team going 7-5 in those starts. Pickett threw for 2,404 yards and 7 touchdowns while completing 63% of his passes with 3 rushing touchdowns.
