Papa Kante has found a home in the ACC. The blue-chip big man reopened his recruitment after previously signing with Michigan.

Kante announced Monday that hat he has committed to play for Pittsburgh. He shared the big news on social media.

Out of South Kent (Connecticut) School, Kante is listed at 6-10, 215 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Kante is rated 4-stars, the No. 3 Connecticut product, No. 14 center and No. 103 prospect overall nationally in the 2023 recruiting class.

Kante picked up 20 scholarship offers. In Kante original recruitment. On Oct. 20, 2022, he announced his commitment to Michigan over Pitt, Maryland, Memphis, Rutgers and others to sign him. He went on to sign with U-M on Nov. 10, 2022.

In April, Kante requested a release from his National Letter of Intent with Michigan. This time around, Kante considered Alabama and Georgia Tech before committing to Jeff Capel’s program.
