Kenny Pickett is officially a Hesiman Trophy finalist.

Pickett joins Alabama’s Bryce Young, Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud and Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson as the four finalists for this year’s Heisman. Young is the favorite following the Crimson Tide’s upset over Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.

Pickett had a career year across the board for the Panthers this season. He completed 67.2 percent of his passes for 4,319 yards and 42 touchdowns. All those numbers are career-bests for the fifth year senior.

Pickett also broke several major records this season — includes ones held by legends like Dan Marino and Deshaun Watson. He’s now Pitt’s career and single-season leader in touchdowns and passing yards. He also holds the ACC record for most passing touchdowns in a single season.

His brilliance helped lead Pitt to the ACC Championship. He threw two touchdowns and ran for another in the Panthers’ blowout victory over Wake Forest on Saturday night. This is Pitt’s first-ever ACC Championship.

The Heisman Trophy will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 11.
