Pitt quarterback Kedon Slovis will reportedly enter the transfer portal, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

His time at Pittsburgh lasted 1 season and he will be looking for his 3rd college football team. With the transfer portal opening up on Monday, Slovis will get a head start on finding a new destination.

In 2022, Slovis passed for 2,397 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. In Week 13, Slovis threw for 3 touchdowns and 262 yards against the Miami Hurricanes. He helped guide the Panthers to an 8-4 record in the regular season.

Slovis did not meet the expectations that were placed on him in his lone season at Pitt. He replaced former Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett, who was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2021. Pitt won the ACC Championship last season and was expected to compete for it again.

This will be the 2nd consecutive year that Slovis will enter the transfer portal. In December 2021, Slovis transferred to Pitt from USC. He played at USC from 2019 to 2021.

Pitt will be playing without Slovis against UCLA in the Sun Bowl on Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. ET.
