Pitt receiver Jordan Addison is expected to enter the transfer portal before the May 1 deadline, according to multiple reports.

Pittsburgh insider Andrew Fillipponi was first to report the news, which has since been confirmed by The Athletic, ESPN and other outlets.

This is a stunning development, as Addison became one of the nation’s top receivers after just 2 seasons in Pittsburgh. Last season, he was Kenny Pickett’s top threat and caught 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Those numbers allowed Addison to cruise to the Biletnikoff Award. With Pickett gone, the Panthers brought in USC quarterback transfer Kedon Slovis.

As for a destination, there’s already been rampant speculation that USC will be Addison’s next program.

The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman named USC as a “possible destination.”

Per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Addison’s connection to the DMV area — also the original home of new USC quarterback Caleb Williams — could play a factor.
