Pittsburgh picked up a commitment from former Florida receiver Daejon Reynolds on Friday afternoon, according to multiple reports.

Reynolds has not yet confirmed his transfer decision, but his expected arrival in Pittsburgh has been reported by multiple outlets. AllGators’ Brandon Carroll and Zach Goodall were first to report the news.

Reynolds joins the Panthers after spending the past 2 seasons with Florida. In 2022, he caught 11 passes for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns. The majority of that production — 8 catches for 165 yards and both TD’s — came in a loss to Vanderbilt in November.

Although he was never able to carve out a consistent role with Florida, Reynolds does have a lot of potential. He was a 4-star prospect in the class of 2021.

Reynolds redshirted in 2021, so he will have 3 seasons of eligibility remaining. He’s originally from Springfield, Illinois.

Pittsburgh has a big opening in its wide receiver corps in 2023. Jared Wayne has declared for the NFL Draft after leading the Panthers with 1,066 yards in 2022. However, Konata Mumpfield and Bub Means are both expected to return.
