Pittsburgh WR Jordan Addison wins Biletnikoff Award

Pitt receiver Jordan Addison took home the Biletnikoff Award on Thursday night at the college football awards show.

The Biletnikoff is awarded annually to the nation’s top wide receiver. Addison led the country with 17 touchdown receptions this season.

I

n total, Addison caught 93 passes for 1,479 yards on the year. His 17 touchdowns are the most by an ACC player since Clemson’s De’Andre Hopkins in 2013.

Addison helped lead Pitt to an ACC Championship this season. The Panthers dominated Wake Forest in the conference title game last week, and Addison made a big impact. He caught 8 passes for a team-high 126 yards.

He was also a huge factor in Pitt’s offensive revolution this season. Alongside quarterback Kenny Pickett, that duo proved to be one o

f the most prolific QB-WR combinations in the country this season. Pickett was a finalist for the Davey O’Brien Award on Thursday night, which was awarded to Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.

In winning the Biletnikoff Award, Addison held off another Crimson Tide star — receiver Jameson Williams. Williams caught 7 passes for 184 yards and 2 touchdowns in Alabama’s win over Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.

Pitt still has one more game to play this season — against Michigan State in the Peach Bowl on Dec. 30.
