Dick Vitale explains Jim Boeheim's stance about his Syracuse future
Dick Vitale is set to call Syracuse’s game against Duke on Saturday on ESPN, and has reached out to Jim Boeheim about his thoughts on the legendary coach’s future at Syracuse.
The ESPN broadcaster has relayed Boeheim’s thoughts, as Boeheim is in the middle of a 16-10 season, and has faced some criticism over comments made about other ACC teams in relation to name, image and likeness trends. Earlier this month, he apologized for the comments.
Syracuse has dealt with ongoing struggles in recent seasons, and is at risk to miss a second consecutive NCAA Tournament.
Vitale recalled Boeheim’s career accomplishments and 6 decades connected to Syracuse, and added himself that, “u have earned the right to determine when to step down in agreement with the Administration.”
