Mike Williams, former Syracuse WR, passes away following electrical accident
Mike Williams, who played at Syracuse and had a 6-year career in the NFL, has passed away after a tough battle with injuries stemming from an electrical accident on a construction site.
Williams was removed from life support on Sept 9 and began breathing on his own, though his condition began to later deteriorate before his passing.

Former NFL WR Mike Williams passed away this morning after a tough battle, according to his agent Hadley Engelhard of @EnterSportsMgmt.
“He will be missed. He fought hard his whole life. Prayers to his family.”
Williams was tragically injured while performing electrical work.

Williams spent a total of 6 years in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. He totaled over 3,000 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns across his career. He played at Syracuse from 2006 to 2009.
